Hebridean Rainbow

The Hebridean rainbow is never far away when you visit the islands! This suncatcher is a colourful way to brighten up a window and a great way to remember a visit. The squares of transparent glass have been arranged with the rainbow colours from top to bottom and look great with the sun shining through.

The suncatcher is made from hand cut pieces of glass, assembled and fired in my kiln at home. The colours are made of individually cut squares of transparent glass. These have been placed on a clear glass base and fused at a lower temperature to maintain a textured yet glossy finish.

This sun catcher measures 18cm by 3cm and has a small wire loop embedded in the top. It comes with in a gift box with a loop of raffia to hang it where it can catch the light.
